Our Christmas Show

Written By Keyna Shubert

Our 2010 IASC Holiday Show was a success! We held the event at Crooked Creek Baptist Church . All the members pitched in by pulling together props to decorate the hall to make it look more festive. We had cookies and beverages prepared to share with the guests who attended. We had a candle fundraiser and collected donations to contribute to our music for next season.

We had around sixty guest show up to cheer us on for our debut performance. It ended up being a rather amazing evening. IASC started the night off by being among the crowd to wish them a Merry Christmas. We continued with the "Grinch" melody to pump up the audience. Karen Peacock graced us with her rendition of "Breath of Heaven." IASC followed up her performance by an audience sing along of our favorite hymns.

Howard Hill & Keyna Shubert performed the light romantic duet "Baby Its Cold Outside." Then Alycia Reed sang her rendition of "O Holy Night." IASC followed the solos with the enchanting ballad "Little Drummer Boy/Peace on Earth." Keyna Shubert picked up the beat by singing "Winter Wonderland" among staged IASC members. Then we ended the show with Christmas Classic melody of "Charlie Brown."

As a group we are very pleased with our debut performance. We are a group of people who have a passion for music. We always want to give our best performance, but are here to have fun. Hopefully we ignited the passion of a few audience members who will join us when the new season starts in January.
